Sara Maloney

Sara Maloney serves as the Director of the Aging and Disability Vaccination Collaborative (ADVC), the Center for Dementia Respite Innovation (CDRI), and Caregiver Navigation Services at USAging. Since joining the organization in May 2022, she has led several national initiatives funded by the U.S. Administration for Community Living (ACL).

Sara oversees the ADVC, which focuses on increasing vaccine access and uptake among older adults and individuals with disabilities. She also manages technical assistance for the CDRI, a partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association, aimed at advancing innovative respite care solutions. Additionally, she directs the Caregiver Navigation Services grant, which enhances navigation support for caregivers under the Older Americans Act Title III-E and Title VI-C programs.

Before joining USAging, Sara coordinated and delivered programs and services under the Older Americans Act in the greater Charlotte region of North Carolina. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a master’s degree in Gerontology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, as well as a Master of Public Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Sara is deeply passionate about advocating for older adults, individuals with disabilities, and their caregivers.
