Sara Maloney

Sara Maloney, currently the Director of the Aging and Disability Vaccination Collaborative (ADVC) and the Center for Dementia Respite Innovation (CDRI) at USAging, joined the organization in May 2022. In her role, Sara oversees the national efforts of the ADVC, which is funded by the U.S. Administration for Community Living (ACL) and focuses on increasing vaccine uptake among older adults and people with disabilities. Additionally, she manages grant deliverables for the CDRI through the Alzheimer’s Association, also funded by ACL.

Prior to her position at USAging, Sara coordinated and delivered Older Americans Act programs and services in the greater Charlotte region of North Carolina. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a master’s degree in Gerontology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, as well as a Master of Public Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Sara is deeply passionate about advocating for older adults, people with disabilities and their caregivers.
