USAging Urges Congress to Strengthen Accessible Transportation for Older Adults in Reauthorization Bill

This week, USAging sent a letter to leaders of the congressional committees with jurisdiction over this year's surface transportation reauthorization,  outlining USAging's priorities for the bill. Our letter urges Congress to prioritize and strengthen access to adequate, accessible transportation for older adults and people with disabilities. To learn more, please read the letter here.

On May 22, the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee marked up and approved the Build America 250 Act, a bipartisan, five-year surface transportation reauthorization bill. The Senate committees with jurisdiction over the reauthorization have not yet released their text. USAging will continue to work with Congress to ensure our asks are included in any final bill.
