Five AAA-Led Communities Join the Dementia Friendly America Network

Dementia Friendly America (DFA), administered by USAging, is pleased to welcome five AAA-led dementia friendly communities to the DFA Network during the first half of 2026. Congratulations to:

• Egyptian Area Agency on Aging (Illinois)
• Southern Mississippi Planning and Development District Area Agency on Aging (Mississippi)
• Lackawanna County Area Agency on Aging (Pennsylvania)
• Area Agency on Aging of the Panhandle (Texas)
• Valley Area Agency on Aging (Michigan)

These new DFA Network members reflect the growing leadership of AAAs in advancing dementia-friendly communities across the country. We are excited to see this momentum continue and encourage more AAAs to join the movement.
