Stephanie Krone Firestone joined n4a in August 2013 as director of the Livable Communities Collaborative. She works with communities to create multi-stakeholder partnerships, identify priorities, develop action plans and enhance their capacity to make their communities great places to grow up and grow old.
Stephanie brings to n4a over 20 years of experience working in the public sector advancing environmental policy, planning and mediation, as well as civic engagement. Her experience includes working as an independent consultant to communities around the country as they planned for rapidly aging populations. She writes Age’n Community, a blog on senior mobility at mobilitylab.org, and is involved in her local community as a hospice volunteer and a volunteer birth doula.
Stephanie earned a Master of Urban & Environmental Planning from the University of Virginia, and a Bachelor of Communications from the State University of New York.
