Sara Maloney

Sara Maloney joined USAging in 2022 in the role of Program Manager, Commit to Connect. In this role, Sara manages the work of the Commit to Connect initiative, a national initiative funded by the Administration for Community Living that is addressing social isolation and loneliness by building a nationwide network of champions.   
Sara has more than a decade of experience working in the field of aging. Before joining USAging, Sara coordinated and delivered Older Americans Act programs and services at the regional and local levels in North Carolina’s greater Charlotte region where she developed local programs and led community initiatives, including Dementia Friendly Charlotte Mecklenburg. Sara is passionate about advocating on behalf of older adults and their caregivers.
Sara holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Gerontology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte as well as a Master’s in Public Administration for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
