Sara Maloney

Sara Maloney joined USAging in May 2022 and currently serves as Director, Aging and Disability Vaccination Collaborative (ADVC). In this role, Sara manages the work of the ADVC, a national effort funded by the U.S. Administration for Community Living that focuses on vaccine uptake among older adults and people with disabilities. Sara previously worked as part of USAging’s team for Commit to Connect, a national initiative centered on increasing social connection and reducing social isolation and loneliness among all populations, including older adults and people with disabilities.   

Before joining USAging, Sara coordinated and delivered Older Americans Act programs and services at the regional and local levels in North Carolina’s greater Charlotte region. Sara is passionate about advocating on behalf of older adults, people with disabilities and their caregivers.

Sara holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a master’s degree in Gerontology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, as well as a Master of Public Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
