The Aging Network Combats Social Isolation
In this episode, we hear from USAging’s Meredith Hanley and Rebecca Levine, who work on the USAging-administered engAGED: The National Resource Center for Engaging Older Adults. The two of them sit down with USAging’s Caitlin Musselman to discuss the work of engAGED, key issues and trends related to social engagement and how the AAAs, Title VI Native American Aging Programs and the entire Aging Network can tap into engAGED resources to develop programs that help the older adults, people with disabilities and caregivers they serve stay socially engaged.

Tracking Trends of the Aging Network
It’s an exciting time for research efforts at USAging! As the social services and health care sectors evolve to meet the growing needs of older adults, it is critical that the Aging Network has information and tools it can use to respond to these changes. That’s why USAging keeps a pulse on the Aging Network through national surveys and reports that capture trends, new directions and evolving needs among Area Agencies on Aging and Title VI Native American Aging Programs. In this episode, USAging’s Chief, Programs and Services, Deborah Stone-Walls, and Director of Research, Traci Wilson, discuss how USAging’s research helps tell the stories of the Aging Network. They discuss how USAging members and the Aging Network can use USAging data to advocate for, innovate and enhance their programs and services.
