Executive Director
The Executive Director reports to the Council of Governments (COG), serves as chief administrator of the Area Agency on Aging & Disabilities of SW Washington (AAADSW) with primary responsibilities for successful operations of AAADSW, development and implementation of its four-year Area Plan, and managing social and health services for older adults, people living with a disability, and family caregivers. Directs and participates in local, state, and federal legislative advocacy, community networking activities and other public awareness activities related to AAADSW’s mission, programs, and services. Identifies and develops strategic partnerships with vendors and community organizations to strengthen and advance the Agency’s impact and service offerings. Responsible for the strategic direction, organization and coordination of AAADSW’s service delivery to five Southwest Washington counties - Clark, Cowlitz, Klickitat, Skamania and Wahkiakum.

Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field AND seven years of experience in city, county, regional, state or federal administration or planning, four years of which must have been in a highly responsible supervisory position OR
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field AND five years of experience in city, county, regional, state or federal administration or planning, three years of which must have been in a highly responsible supervisory position.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and minimum state-required vehicle insurance and have use of reliable transportation.
