Director of Major Giving
Age Well is seeking an experienced, dynamic Director of Major Giving to strengthen and expand its fundraising efforts in support of new strategic priorities. The Director will play a key role in preparation for a multimillion-dollar comprehensive campaign that has been shaped through a recent planning study. Reporting to the Chief Advancement Officer, the Director will develop a strategic plan for major and planned giving programs to maximize philanthropic potential to engage and inspire donors to invest in Age Well and deepen their commitment to our aging community. Key to success in this role will be building relationships with new prospects and strengthening relationships with existing donors to maximize philanthropic support.

This position will report to, and partner with, the Chief Advancement Officer in the exploration, design, and potential implementation of a larger capital campaign, while supporting continued efforts to grow overall operating support. They will also supervise and mentor Development staff. Candidates should possess familiarity with gift planning vehicles and best practices and a successful track-record in closing annual, major, and planned gifts. This person will manage a portfolio of prospects annually and will cultivate, directly solicit, and steward these donors.

An exceptional relationship-builder and fundraising strategist skilled in the use of data and metrics to drive growth, the Director will carry a portfolio of donors and prospects at the major gift level ($10k plus) and will also help to raise leadership gifts ($5k plus) for the annual fund.

Requirements The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of five years working in a nonprofit fundraising role with at least three years of Major Gift and Planned Giving (or similar experience). Technology and computer literacy are essential. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs and fundraising database experience (e.g., Bloomerang) is preferred. Must be able to work evenings and weekends as needed.
