USAging has launched the Dementia Friendly Fund to enhance technical assistance for Dementia Friendly America and Dementia Friends.

Dementia Friendly America (DFA), administered by USAging, is a national network of communities, organizations and individuals seeking to ensure that communities across the U.S. are equipped to support people living with dementia and their caregivers. DFA communities are influencers and catalysts for change that foster capability to support people with dementia and their care partners in local communities across the nation.

DFA is the U.S. licensee of the international Dementia Friends (DF) program developed by the Alzheimer’s Society in the U.K. This global movement seeks to change the way people think, act and talk about dementia. The program is designed to help people understand what dementia is and how it affects people.

Your donation will help USAging ensure that communities undertaking these dementia-friendly pursuits nationwide have access to the technical assistance and guidance needed to strengthen their approaches and foster the ability of people living with dementia to live and thrive in community.
