Christine Vanlandingham

Christine Vanlandingham brings more than two decades of experience in the field of aging to her role as CEO of the Region IV Area Agency on Aging in Saint Joseph, Michigan. She leads a dynamic nonprofit team with a $28 million budget, focused on integrating health and social care to better serve older adults, people with disabilities, and caregivers.

Christine is known for her work in social and clinical care contracting, having led successful partnerships with state Medicaid agencies, health systems, and managed care organizations. Her leadership has helped shape innovative models for long-term services and supports, including capitated contracts and value-based care.

She currently serves as President of the Area Agencies on Aging Association of Michigan and holds board leadership roles with Corewell Health South, Corewell Hospital Watervliet, and PACE of Southwest Michigan. Christine has also testified before the U.S. Senate Special Committee on Aging and is a frequent speaker on aging policy and innovation.

Christine was honored as USAging’s 2024 National Excellence in Leadership awardee and was named one of the 2022 Bold Women of Business. She is a proud graduate of USAging’s Leadership Institute.

Originally from Indiana, Christine has lived in Maryland and the Washington, D.C. area, and now calls Michigan home, where she lives with her husband, Gary. Nature is her happy place—she enjoys camping, hiking, biking, and spending time with their grandchildren.
