Celebrate the Older Americans Act’s 60th Anniversary With Advocacy!

On July 14, USAging and four of our national Aging Network partners are celebrating the 60th anniversary of the signing of the first Older Americans Act (OAA). Join us! Read our joint statement with ADvancing States, Meals on Wheels America, NANASP and NCOA.
 
USAging has developed new messaging and graphics to help you raise awareness of OAA programs and services in your community while urging all levels of advocates, including consumers, to ask Congress to protect OAA and increase its federal funding.
 
Please plan now to take action before or on July 14 to spread the word in your community!

• A template alert for you to distribute in your community any time before or on July 14! It is designed to be shared with a wide range of audiences including consumers and may be adapted to what will work for your agency.
• A new one-pager on the OAA to help educate folks in your community!
• Social media messaging and graphics for you to use and share with others any time before or on the anniversary.
• Other resources you can also tap to raise awareness of what your agency does, such as USAging’s FY 2026 Appropriations Campaign tools that offer details on our funding requests and our new AAA Public Awareness Campaign materials!
