Virginia Biggar

In October 2023, Ginny Biggar began serving as Interim Director, Communications, leading USAging’s communications team. Ginny first joined USAging in April 2023 as Director, Marketing and Community Outreach for the Aging and Disability Vaccination Collaborative, where she leads communications and outreach activities for the Aging and Disability Vaccination Collaborative, supporting grantees, national partners, and federal funders and stakeholders with marketing resources designed to promote vaccination to older adults and people with disabilities.

Ginny has extensive experience in strategic communications, program development and management, coalition building, multisector partnerships and community outreach.

Prior to joining USAging, Ginny spent a decade at UsAgainstAlzheimer's in a variety of roles, including leading its research program and national coalitions that brought together family caregivers and people living with dementia to tell their stories. Ginny also served on the Executive Committee for Dementia Friendly America.

Ginny was also a reporter for National Public Radio where she covered a wide range of breaking and feature stories. She was a family caregiver for nearly 30 years for her father who lived with Multiple Sclerosis. She is passionate about supporting solutions for older adults, people with disabilities and their families.

Ginny holds a bachelor's degree in History from Trinity College in Hartford, CT.
