Esther Wright

Esther M. Wright joined USAging in August 2022 and serves as Program Manager for the Housing and Services Resource Center. The Administration for Community Living–funded initiative seeks to align the Aging and Disability Networks and the housing sector in their efforts to expand and enhance the range of affordable, accessible and supportive housing options for the nation’s growing populations of older adults and people living with disabilities.

Before joining USAging, Esther spent 10 years as Housing Coordinator for the Take Me Home, West Virginia program, West Virginia’s Money Follows the Person Initiative. In this role, Esther worked collaboratively with housing agencies to increase affordable, accessible housing in West Virginia.

Prior to her work as Housing Coordinator, Esther worked as Lead Housing Investigator at the West Virginia Human Rights Commission. In addition to fair housing investigations, she also investigated cases of discrimination in employment and places of public accommodation.

Esther has developed material and provided training on sexual harassment, fair housing, housing individuals with long-term care needs, and other housing and equality-related trainings
