Home for the Holidays Campaign on Social Engagement Opportunities Announced

n4a and the Eldercare Locator are excited to announce that our 2020 Home for the Holidays campaign will highlight the importance of social connection, its impact on our health—and ways AAAs and the Aging Network as a whole can help older adults connect to their communities during this time of limited in-person social interactions.

To ensure older adults who may be experiencing social isolation and loneliness as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic find helpful resources, n4a has produced a consumer brochure, Staying Connected and Healthy During the COVID-19 Pandemic: Resources for Older Adults and Caregivers, and will supplement the brochure with a toolkit of materials that your agency can use to promote your AAA's social engagement programs and services.

More information about the campaign and information on how to pre-order the brochure is available at n4a.org/h4h2020. To help ensure this important brochure lands in the hands (or on the screens!) of those who need it most, the brochure will be available in both English and Spanish—and will include a space to allow Aging Network organizations to customize the brochure by adding their own contact information.

In the meantime, if your agency has a program you would like us to highlight as part of this year's campaign, please tell us about it! We'd love to highlight the important work you do every day for older adults in your community.

For more information on the importance of social connection and local resources that can help address the need, please visit the Eldercare Locator's Resources for Social Isolation and Loneliness webpage.
