New COVID-19 Resources from n4a and a Salute to #AAAsAtWork

Earlier this week, n4a launched a new COVID-19 Peer Resources page to allow our members to share information on best practices, tips, policies and more that you have developed in response to the coronavirus crisis. This members-only page is intended for you—so take a look and share any resources that you think may be helpful to other AAAs on the front lines of this crisis.

In partnership with ACL, n4a's Aging and Disability Business Institute held a webinar that provided an overview of new rules and waivers issued by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services that are intended to ensure that local hospitals and health systems have the capacity to absorb and effectively manage potential surges of COVID-19 patients. One flexibility that is relevant to AAAs partnering with health care organizations is the CMS Hospital Without Walls program, which allows health care systems and hospitals to provide services in locations beyond their existing walls to help address the urgent need to expand care capacity and to develop sites dedicated to COVID-19 treatment, including offering outpatient care at home. Watch the webinar recording.

Finally, but certainly not least, n4a has launched a campaign, #AAAsAtWork for #OlderAdults, to recognize and salute AAAs for the incredible work you do every day in your communities to support the needs of older adults. We've always known that your work is important, and n4a's goal is to show how #AAAsAtWork for #OlderAdults make a difference in the community. Check out the toolkit and give your agency a pat on the back for the great work you are doing now and have always performed in your community.
