Come to DC this Spring and Bring Your Best Advocacy!

Registration is now open for the n4a Aging Policy Briefing & Capitol Hill Day!

It is the final year of President Obama's presidency, the critical second session of the 114th Congress, and aging advocates are gearing up for major shifts in the political, policy and health care landscape. See why APB regulars keep coming back!

Raising your voice on Capitol Hill is essential to ensure that lawmakers understand the importance of your programs to older adults in their districts and states.

Aging advocates face many challenges in 2016:
•    Older Americans Act reauthorization still remains unfinished;
•    Major shifts are underway in health care and social services delivery models; and
•    Federal discretionary spending remains a contentious issue for lawmakers and the current era of austerity continues to restrain outlays for OAA programs.

Join us for the n4a Aging Policy Briefing and Capitol Hill Day, April 25-26, in Washington, DC to learn the latest on these pressing issues and many more aging priorities. In just two short days, we will get you up to speed on breaking legislative and federal policy developments, and then send you to the Hill to educate and inform your elected officials about local and national aging policy priorities.

We hope you will also join us Monday morning, April 25, before the policy briefing for an intensive pre-conference session sponsored by Humana, which will explore the latest changes, threats and opportunities for the Aging Network in the increasingly integrated health care landscape.

Are you an n4a member, a State Grassroots Coordinator or are more than two people from your agency attending? If so, you get a discount! More details about the Aging Policy Briefing and registration are available at www.n4a.org/aging policy briefing.

PLEASE NOTE: In order to register you will have to first log in to your www.n4a.org account. If you do not have an account, you will need to create one before registering. Please contact Autumn Campbell (acampbell@n4a.org or 202.872.0888) with any registration or agenda questions.
