Elder Justice Needs in Rural America

The Department of Justice's (DOJ) Elder Justice Initiative wants to gain a better understanding of how elder abuse affects older Americans in rural communities and identify gaps in resources and educational materials to address the issue. Learn how your agency can contribute to this critical initiative!
As part of this effort, the DOJ is distributing a community needs assessment survey to professionals who serve victims of elder abuse, or those at risk for abuse, in rural communities throughout the United States. If your agency serves older adults in rural communities, you can take this survey or forward to other professionals and organizations that can provide valuable insight on the matter. The survey is anonymous and the information gathered will be combined with data collected during in-depth listening sessions currently being conducted in rural communities around the country. All findings will be publically available.
