Aging In Place Movement Focus of Conference

Last week, n4a was invited to make a presentation as part of the Habitat for Humanity Aging in Place Learning Exchange, an initiative that seeks to spread awareness of the growing aging in place (AIP) movement and to share best practices to promote the development of AIP programs in communities nationwide.

Stephanie Firestone, Director of Livable Communities for n4a and the author of the highly respected report, Making Your Community Livable for All Ages: What's Working!provided a “top ten” list of successful, field-tested strategies for creating communities that make aging in place possible.

If you haven't already reviewed n4a's seminal report on this issue, we encourage you to do so. It provides a wealth of information on how you can develop and implement plans to make your community a great place to grow up and grow old.
