n4a's Programs team was well represented at the AIRS Annual Conference held this week in St. Louis, Missouri.
The conference focused on a variety of issues, including Information and Referral management and service delivery, resource databases and technology.
Among the 80+ workshops was a presentation co-led by n4a's own Virginia Dize, Co-Director, National Aging and Disability Transportation Center and Patrice Earnest, Director, Eldercare Locator. The workshop highlighted the role of Information and Referral in meeting community transportation needs, and sparked a rich discussion with participants about the programs and initiatives that communities are employing to meet unique transportation needs. n4a CEO Sandy Markwood recenty finished her term on the AIRS board.
I&R professionals should next join n4a in San Diego in July—our Annual Conference includes an I&R/A pre-conference summit on Monday, July 25. To register for the summit, the CIRS-A/D Basic Training examination and the n4a Conference, go to www.n4aconference.org.
