Older Americans Month in Full Swing!

Older Americans Month is well underway, with AAAs across the country hosting activities to celebrate the contributions of older adults.
Southern Alabama Regional Council On Aging (SARCOA) held its annual "Older Americans Day" at National Peanut Festival Fairgrounds in Dothan, Alabama. More than 1,500 older adults enjoyed festivities including games, live entertainment and a talent show.
Kitsap County AAA, in partnership with the Long Term Care Alliance, recently hosted the 25th Annual Older Americans Conference in Port Orchard, Washington. This free conference included presentations from community partners, local provider booths and a Proclamation from County Commissioner Ed Wolfe that designated May 18 as Older Americans Day in Kitsap County.
