Window of Opportunity for Advocacy Narrowing—Weigh In Now with Lawmakers

It is imperative that lawmakers know they need to pass legislation that prioritizes older Americans and caregivers before leaving DC for the fall campaign season! Unfortunately, as legislative business days pass without progress on an additional round of COVID-19 emergency relief, advocates have little time left to urge an adequate bipartisan coronavirus relief deal. That means YOUR advocacy is needed now!

This week n4a sent a letter to Senate and House leaders imploring agreement on a relief package that addresses the needs of older adults, people with disabilities and their caregivers. It is also more important than ever that local and state advocates weigh in with their congressional delegations about the urgency of the ongoing emergency and the need to continue to provide support to older Americans as the pandemic persists. Use n4a's September 17 Advocacy Alert and updated advocacy resources to take swift action today!
