AAAs Spread the Word During Pharmacy Benefits Week

With Pharmacy Benefits Week (PBW) well underway, we're hearing that your efforts to ensure that Medicare beneficiaries save $$ by taking full advantage of their prescription drug coverage are paying off. 

In Iowa alone, three AAAs have held events or widely shared information about the Answers on Aging®|Pharmacy Benefits program, a public education initiative developed by n4a, in collaboration with Walgreens. So much of our mission and work is focused on helping people access the resources they need to stay healthy and independent and so participating in this campaign made perfect sense, said Barb Morrison, Executive Director of Connections AAA in Council Bluffs, Iowa. “By mid-week, we knew that several hundred people had already looked at the information on our website and on social media, so we definitely struck a chord."

We've also heard about exciting outreach and engagement activities in states as far-flung as Texas, Ohio and Michigan. And we know that many of you are holding events beyond this week, so please contact us about the great work you're doing so we can share your success stories!
