Campaign to Help Older Adults Plan for a Non-Driving Future Kicks Off

This week, our Eldercare Locator Home for the Holidays campaign—which, this year, focuses on helping older drivers make a transportation plan before they give up the keys—launched.

Because most families will have to grapple with this issue at some point, we hope that the centerpiece of the campaign—a brochure featuring tips and tools for older adults and caregivers—will be of special relevance to your clients.
To help spread national awareness of the challenges older adults often face when they stop driving without a plan, we are working with media outlets including USA Today to help get the word out.  Our press release will provide you with more detailed information should you decide to join the campaign by making the public and media in your community aware of this important issue. We developed a sample press release for your use as well.
The Home for the Holidays campaign brochures are among the most requested of those we make available through the Eldercare Locator.
