n4a Launches Resources for OAA Reauthorization Advocacy

Local advocacy is essential this summer to educate and engage federal lawmakers about how critical the Older Americans Act (OAA) is to enabling older adults and caregivers to age with health and independence in their homes and communities, and about the responsibility that federal leaders have to reauthorize these programs. To assist your local advocacy efforts, n4a has created, and will continue to add resources to, our new n4a OAA Reauthorization Advocacy Toolkit

The templates and tools available in the online toolkit will help you educate local stakeholders about the OAA, engage the media and social media advocates about the importance of reauthorizing these programs, and provide messaging for connecting with your federal lawmakers about priorities for reauthorization. This morning's Advocacy Alert details what you can do to start your advocacy today!
