Business Acumen Training Helps Maryland AAAs Look to the Future

This week, 19 Maryland AAAs participated in an n4a-led business acumen training to strengthen their efforts to develop a cohesive plan to leverage existing and emerging business opportunities statewide.

Because all but two of the agencies are part of county government, strategies for developing new business lines while working within a government structure was a major focus of interest.

“These agencies are excited about the prospect of building a base of private pay consumers to address growing wait lists, partnering with health care entities and expanding their reach in evidence-based programming,” said Mary Kaschak, who manages n4a's Planning & Capacity Development program.  “By the end of the training, they felt like they were on the right track and excited to move forward.”
