n4a CEO Sandy Markwood Receives National Award

At an event held earlier this week in Washington, DC, n4a CEO Sandy Markwood was recognized as a national leader in aging when she received the Partners for Livable Communities Ageless America award for her role in shaping a more livable, sustainable and equitable America.

The Partners for Livable Communities Awards recognize national leaders for their “extraordinary work [which] has set the standard by which civic leaders and policymakers in both the public and private sectors can initiate and carry out community improvement strategies.”
Under Sandy's leadership, n4a has long been a leader on livable communities, with the landmark 2005 “Maturing of America” report, and the more recent best practices guide, “Making Your Community Livable for All Ages: What's Working!”
