New Business Institute Policy Spotlight Describes Updates to Medicare Advantage

A new publication from n4a's Aging and Disability Business Institute provides an overview of how two recent policy actions open the door for partnerships between Medicare Advantage plans and AAAs. The policy actions, which expand the flexibility of Medicare Advantage plans to target supplementary benefits to beneficiaries, are detailed in Policy Spotlight: New Federal Law and Rules Open Door for Integrated Care in Medicare Advantage.

The changes highlighted in the Policy Spotlight will increase the number of allowable supplemental benefit options and provide Medicare Advantage enrollees with access to benefits and services that may improve their quality of life and health outcomes. They also describe a significant opportunity for AAAs and other CBOs to partner with Medicare Advantage plans to provide these services.
