Advocacy Needed to Continue Money Follows the Person

A bipartisan bill that would reauthorize the Money Follows the Person program for five years was recently introduced in the Senate. National advocates are aiming to attach this bill, the EMPOWER Act (S. 2227), to upcoming must-past funding legislation, but for this strategy to work, lawmakers must hear from you!

Reach out today to your Senators—especially if they sit on the Senate Finance Committee, which has jurisdiction over the bill—and ask them to sign on as a cosponsor to S. 2227. n4a's recent Advocacy Alert details ways local advocates can get engaged on this issue, including information about a national social media push to #FundMFP.
