Join a New Generation of Aging Network Leaders

The deadline for n4a members to apply to save a spot at this year's n4a Leadership Institute is quickly approaching. Don't miss your chance take your leadership skills to the next level!

According to research conducted by the Stanford Social Innovation Review, one of the most pressing organizational concerns facing nonprofits is the issue of succession planning. More than 50 percent of the 2015 survey's respondents ranked their organizations lower than 6 out of 10 on their ability to develop their staff. Within the Aging Network, agency leaders across the country are facing their own challenges. Data from our recent n4a Membership Survey indicates that 51 percent of survey respondents that planned to retire within the next five years don't have a succession plan in place and, anecdotally, AAA directors have been retiring at an increased rate during the past two to five years.

n4a's Leadership Institute provides our members with a one-of-a-kind learning experience to counteract this trend and foster well-trained leaders in Area Agencies on Aging and Title VI aging programs across the country. The Leadership Institute includes a three-day in-person training, followed by valuable networking and distance learning opportunities, including a special workshop at the n4a Annual Conference. For many past attendees, the program has been a transformative experience and helped them develop new skills, collaborate with peers and opened new possibilities for improving services offered in their communities.

Learn more and apply today to join AAA and Title VI aging program colleagues on the beautiful campus of Georgetown University in Washington, DC, from February 21-23, 2018.
