Navigating Competitive Business Climate Among Topics at Conference
As aging professionals from across the eight states that make up the Southeastern Association of Area Agencies on Aging (SE4A) gathered in Savannah, GA for their annual conference this week, n4a staff joined them!
CEO Sandy Markwood gave a keynote about how the AAA network should respond to the challenges and opportunities of integrated care; n4a member Tina Abbate-Marzolf from Michigan then followed Sandy's call-to-action by sharing her insights and experience as her own agency changed their approach, culture and business lines to compete in this new world.
Speaking of surviving in a managed care landscape, n4a's MLTSS expert Mary Kaschak presented a workshop on just that, bringing in Health Management Associates executive Lisa Shugarman to help AAAs understand how to navigate in a fast-changing business environment. Amy Gotwals gave advocacy tips and federal policy updates, and Virginia Dize, n4a's transportation expert, spoke about the rising need of transportation services for seniors and local creative solutions to meet that demand.
