In partnership with the SMP Resource Center, n4a's Aging Network Volunteer Resource Center (ANVRC) is offering its Stepping Up webinar series to Senior Medicare Patrols (SMPs) this October. To participate in the program, apply by the September 15 deadline!
The SMP grant program, funded by the U.S. Administration for Community Living, supports projects that empower and assist Medicare beneficiaries, their families, and caregivers to prevent, detect, and report health care fraud, errors, and abuse through outreach, counseling, and education.
Kicking off this October, the seven-week Stepping Up program will offer five one-hour webinar sessions, assignments, networking opportunities and four hours of consulting assistance tailored to participants' needs.
Participants will:
- Strengthen the capacity of their SMP to engage older volunteers in meaningful service
- Prepare to implement a recruitment campaign, and
- Become part of a peer learning community for ongoing support and inspiration.
