Plan for National Medicare Education Week with n4a Resources

With National Medicare Education Week (NMEW) right around the corner, n4a is excited to provide a number of resources to help your agency get involved and ensure staff know the answers to tough questions about signing up for Medicare this fall.

Held September 15-21, National Medicare Education Week provides Medicare beneficiaries, their families and caregivers with the information and tools they need to make confident, informed Medicare decisions—just in time for Medicare Open Enrollment (Oct. 15–Dec. 7).

For the fifth year, n4a is partnering with UnitedHealthCare (UHC) to connect AAAs to local NMEW events and prepare them for questions consumers may have about Medicare Open Enrollment. So far, n4a members in Indianapolis, IN; Richmond, VA; and Phoenix, AZ have committed to hosting NMEW events, providing a model for ways that AAAs can develop their own private-sector partnerships to educate members of their communities so that they can make informed, confident decisions about their Medicare coverage. Use our toolkit to complement and amplify your agency's existing efforts on Medicare outreach.

AAAs can prepare for, and participate in, NMEW in a number of ways, including:
  • Hosting, attending, or partnering with a local event
  • Using n4a and UHC's Medicare education toolkit to promote NMEW on social media
  • Taking our online course to brush up on your Medicare knowledge.
