Oklahoma Collaborators Point to Strategic Positioning

On its blog, n4a's Aging and Disability Business Institute highlights a successful partnership between aging and disability community-based organizations in Oklahoma.

Ability Resources, a Tulsa-based center for independent living, and Indian Nations Council of Governments (INCOG), an Area Agency on Aging based in eastern Oklahoma, teamed up to form the Oklahoma Aging and Disability Alliance, LLC. The LLC enables the new partners to jointly respond to opportunities and challenges in a changing health care payment and delivery system. The LLC will serve as a unified vehicle for cross-organizational collaboration and consolidated contracting with health care partners.

By formalizing their partnership under the legal terms of a Limited Liability Company (LLC), Ability Resources and INCOG are able to offer consumers a larger variety of services, giving the new LLC access to funding streams the two entities couldn't tap into as individual organizations.
