Developing Health Care Business Lines Focus of Training

At the request of the Association on Aging in New York, n4a Consulting Services was retained to conduct six regional training sessions to help the Aging Network professional community.

AAA directors, Commissioners, AAA staff and sub-contractors, prepare to develop health care business lines that will position them for success working with MCOs, hospitals and ACOs, among other payors. Sessions have already taken place in Albany, Syracuse and Binghamton and organizers expect over 200 people to participate by the time training is completed next month.

"This is an important opportunity for AAAs and affiliates in New York's Aging Network. Business planning is an essential part of keeping your organization relevant in a managed care environment," said Mike Romano, President, Association on Aging in New York.

Through n4a's Consulting Services Program, national experts with extensive health care and business experience evaluate the needs of a member-agency, develop strategies customized to their needs and conduct training sessions to help them address a wide range of issues, including refocusing business practices, systems and IT requirements, marketing and learning to "speak the language" of health care partners.

n4a's Consulting Services Program is a service provided exclusively to its members and includes preferred pricing, so contact Paul Cantrell at pcantrell@n4a.org or 434.249.9235 to learn more.
