n4a Member Testifies on Capitol Hill on Social Isolation Among Older Adults

Yesterday, n4a member Mark Clark of Tucson, AZ testified before the Senate Special Committee on Aging about his agency's efforts to recognize, respond to and combat loneliness and social isolation of older adults.

At a well-attended hearing, Mark brought the practitioner's perspective, elevating the critical work of Pima Council On Aging, as well as their AAA counterparts around the country. With recognition given to Older Americans Act programs and its inherent socialization mission and n4a's Eldercare Locator consumer education campaign of 2016, Mark covered a wide range of issues during just five minutes of oral testimony.
