Aging Prisoners Focus of New Report and Upcoming Webinar

Prisoners age 65-plus represent the fastest-growing segment of America's prison population. Learn about this important topic and how the Aging Network is responding with a highly interactive n4a webinar, Supporting America's Aging Prisoner Population on February 28 at 2:00 p.m. ET.

This presentation will highlight findings from an upcoming major n4a report titled "Supporting America's Aging Prisoner Population: Opportunities and Challenges for Area Agencies on Aging" funded through the Administration for Community Living. Attendees will also hear about federal initiatives related to this issue and learn from Virginia's experience with implementing the Chronic Disease Self-Management Education (CDSME) program in correctional settings.

Presenters are Erin Long and Jesse Moore, Administration for Community Living; Meredith Eisenhart, National Association of Area Agencies on Aging; and April Holmes, Virginia Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services.

Register now for this exciting webinar and keep an eye out for the Aging Prisoners report, which will be released later this month.
