In an effort to provide Aging Network advocates and stakeholders with helpful tools and resources to inform and support local advocacy, n4a released a new Policy Brief, What Policymakers Must Know About an Aging America.
This resource, along with the n4a Policy Brief detailing implications and considerations for ACA repeal and replace discussions, are intended to inform local advocates outreach to their Representatives and Senators at the start of the 115th Congress. n4a also sent a letter to Capitol Hill to queue up critical legislative issues affecting older adults, caregivers and the Aging Network. As outlined in our recent Advocacy Alert, we encourage local AAAs and Title VI programs to connect with lawmakers now on these issues, and have created a template letter that you can use in your advocacy.
The most recent n4a Policy Brief, What Policymakers Must Know About an Aging Nation, highlights the demographic necessity of promoting policy decisions that enable aging in place and outlining key principles that policymakers should consider when making these decisions.
