Congress Punts Funding Fights to April; Advocates Needed in DC More than Ever This Spring

Late last week lawmakers finished the 114th Congress with a whimper instead of a bang after approving a bill to fund federal programs at current levels through April 28, 2017.

This move sets up funding fights for both the remainder of FY 2017 and FY 2018 next spring, which means that local advocates will be more essential than ever in educating Congress about the need to protect and fund OAA programs.
