Montgomery County Launches Dementia Friendly Initiative

On December 5, Montgomery County (MD) launched its Dementia Friendly Initiative which aims to support people with dementia and their caregivers. Communities across the country are working to become dementia-friendly by taking part in the national Dementia Friendly America (DFA) Initiative, which n4a co-chairs.

Through the DFA initiative, communities like Montgomery County are leveraging resources and partners across diverse sectors including business, faith communities, health care, legal and financial services.

As a result of DFA, Montgomery County has already committed to several dementia-friendly activities as highlighted in the launch press release.
