Transportation Challenges Highlighted During National Family Caregivers Month

The National Aging and Disability Transportation Center (NADTC) recognizes the vital role of caregivers in providing transportation to older adults and people with disabilities.

Research shows that 83 percent of caregivers provide or arrange transportation for their loved ones, with responsibilities ranging from offering physical support getting into vehicles, to scheduling rides.

In observation of National Family Caregivers Month in November, NADTC celebrates the tremendous charge of being a caregiver while acknowledging the challenges of providing ongoing care. Do you have a story to share about caregivers and transportation in your community? Let us know by emailing contact@nadtc.org.
