Landmark Report on HCBS Quality Measures Released

Last week the National Quality Forum (NQF) released a final report capping over a two-year effort by a multi-stakeholder advisory committee to develop a report, Quality in Home and Community-Based Services to Support Community Living: Addressing Gaps in Performance Measurement

n4a CEO Sandy Markwood participated in the committee that developed recommendations outlining measurement opportunities to address gaps in HCBS quality measurement. The project has been a response to the federal effort to shift funding for LTSS from institutional support to HCBS options. The report includes short, medium and long-term recommendations on measure concepts to evaluate HCBS quality as well as identifying gaps in measurement concepts.
