Health Benefits of Volunteering Campaign Toolkit Available!

n4a has launched a new public education campaign to spread awareness of the fact that older adults may reap major physical, mental and emotional benefits by volunteering for as little as two hours a week.

To help you educate the public and key stakeholders in your community about this important issue and to support your volunteer recruitment efforts, we are pleased to provide a handy toolkit containing the following materials: Powerpoint presentationtemplate press releasesocial media bank and infographic

Since we released the campaign brochure: Doing Good is Good for You: Volunteer!the response has been extremely positive. Dozens of you have told us that the information it provides—explaining the health benefits of volunteering and how to match a potential volunteer's interests to available opportunities—serves as a wonderful complement to the work of your volunteer programs. We expect this to be a popular brochure, so order your copies while supplies last!

Many of you have already let us know that you plan to leverage the brochure for public education and training purposes. Now that you have access to the campaign toolkit, we also want to learn how you plan to participate in the campaign, whether it's to hold an event or reach out to your local media to spread the word.

Please contact Star Johnson at sjohnson@n4a.org and tell us about it!
