AAA Director Wins Coaching Prize with National Expert

Executive coach and PR expert Libby Gill's keynote speech was one of the most well-received moments at the n4a 41st Annual Conference & Tradeshow

In addition to her presentation, Libby generously offered a coaching session as a special prize for one lucky Conference attendee. We are pleased to announce that Susan Real, Executive Director of Central Illnois AAA, was the recipient of this valuable opportunity.

Libby has worked 20 years in the corporate world and 16 years coaching professionals to overcome challenges and grow their organizations. While she's coached people from a variety of industries, this session was especially meaningful because of her personal connection to the Aging Network.

“I am a direct beneficiary of the work AAAs do to help older adults,” Libby said. “My mom is 95 and we have used many resources provided by aging services in Florida. This session gave me a window into how this field operates and I got a better sense of the scope of challenges faced by Susan and many others. She had a great response to the coaching and I'm confident she'll be able to turn everything she learned into direct action."

Susan, who has 29 years of experience working with Central Illnois AAA, found the coaching session highly effective and echoed Libby's comments.

"Libby was able to connect the dots for me and provided fresh and productive guidance on my ability to serve as a leader," Susan said. "She focused on how I can use my creative abilities and gave me the confidence to proceed in the development of very important services at my agency."

We wish Susan much success in her endeavors at Central Illnois AAA!
