n4a Comments on AoA State Plan Guidance

After extensive member feedback, n4a submitted formal comments in response to an Administration on Aging (AoA) request for information and comment on a proposal to include specific populations—LGBT older adults, Holocaust survivors, American Indian elders, refugees and others—in targeting guidelines to State Units.
n4a encouraged AoA to continue ongoing efforts to provide education, resources, technical assistance and training to local agencies to better identify and serve these populations, but rejected a federal mandate at this time.
