Kathy Boles Sworn in as n4a President

As the n4a 41st Annual Conference and Tradeshow drew to a close, Kathryn (Kathy) C. Boles was sworn in as n4a President.

Kathy is the President and CEO of the Valley Area Agency on Aging in Flint, MI. Drawing upwards of 1000 attendees, the Conference broke all-time attendance records, featuring insightful panel presentations and a diverse selection of workshops led by aging professionals and experts. In the final General Session, outgoing President Joe Ruby passed the gavel to President Boles as an exciting end to an already memorable week in San Diego.

Previously, Kathy served on the n4a Board of Directors and chaired several of the organization's major committees. Since 2003, Kathy has served as the president and CEO of the Flint, Michigan–based Valley Area Agency on Aging (VAAA). Under her leadership, VAAA's funding base has grown significantly, enabling the agency to strengthen existing programs and develop new initiatives that have improved the health and safety of older adults in the region.

“In this new role, I am extremely honored to serve the 622 Area Agencies on Aging and 256 Title VI Native American aging programs and look forward to building on all of the hard work and momentum we've already achieved,” said n4a President Kathy Boles.
