Expanded HHS-HUD Partnership Launches Housing and Services Resource Center

Earlier this week, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) announced the launch of the national Housing and Services Resource Center (HSRC) as part of their growing partnership to improve access to affordable, accessible housing and the critical services that make community living possible.

The HSRC will serve as the hub of this coordinated federal effort to provide technical resources to and expand partnerships between the housing and service systems, including the aging and disability networks, Title VI Native American Aging Programs, behavioral health and health care systems, public housing authorities and housing providers, and homelessness networks.

AAAs and Title VI Programs can use the HSRC website (acl.gov/HousingAndServices) to quickly find a variety of federal resources and guidance on housing, learn about the organizations in the sector, and discover examples of innovative partnerships and strategies. The federal agencies in the HSRC partnership will offer webinars, office hours, learning collaboratives, and other opportunities to learn and connect with peers.

USAging is proud to play a role in the newly launched Housing and Services Resource Center and help ensure that older adults, people with disabilities and those experiencing homelessness are connected to resources that can help them live well in their communities.
