Eldercare Locator Brain Health Campaign Earns Washington Post Story

Read the 12/31 interview with n4a CEO Sandy Markwood. The Eldercare Locator, a program established and funded by the Administration for Community Living and administered by n4a, launched its 12th annual Home for the Holidays campaign with a focus, this year, on strategies to support brain health in older adults.

The centerpiece of this public education campaign is a publication entitled, Brain Health: You Can Make A Difference. The information in the brochure draws from materials developed by ACL, in partnership with the National Institutes of Health and the Centers for Disease Control.

The campaign timeframe, which will be conducted from Thanksgiving through the New Year, was chosen because many older adults and their families gather together during the holidays, providing an opportunity for discussion about important issues like brain health. To increase national awareness of this issue, media outreach is also being undertaken.
