Participants Chosen for the Innovations in Caregiving Services and Supports Pilot Sites

USAging’s Innovations in Family Caregiver Services and Supports Initiative is excited to announce the selection of eight new pilot site grantees. These grants will support the development of new, or expansion of existing innovative caregiver practices or programs aimed at meeting the unique needs of caregivers across the nation.
 
Congratulations to the following organizations:
 

• Age Well (VT)
• Council on Aging in Union County (NC)
• Direction Home of Eastern Ohio (OH)
• Jewish Family Service of Central New Jersey (NJ)
• Peninsula Agency on Aging (VA)
• Region IV Agency on Aging (MI)
• Southeast Idaho Council of Governments, Area V Agency on Aging (ID)
• Valley Program for Aging Services (VA)

 
Each pilot site is focused on one or more of the following areas, which align with Goal 3 of the National Strategy to Support Family Caregivers: person and family-centered, trauma-informed and culturally competent care; respite care; education/counseling/peer supports; whole person health; volunteer-driven programs; emergency response, planning and preparedness; future care/long-term services and supports; and kinship care.
 
The Innovations in Family Caregiver Services and Supports initiative is appreciative to have received so many strong applications and looks forward to the shared lessons to come from these pilot sites.
