National AAA Survey Closed With 74% Response Rate

Thank you to the more than 450 AAAs who responded to the National AAA Survey this fall! The data you provided will be shared with the network, policy-makers and stakeholders to support your work and advocate for your needs. Keep your eyes peeled for the survey findings, which will be released this spring.

Meeting Kinship/Grandfamily Needs Through AAA and Title VI Program Services and Supports

Nationwide, about 2.5 million children are being raised by grandparents, other relatives or close family. For the first time, a new report (English | Spanish) and fact sheet (English | Spanishtake a close look at how AAAs and Title VI programs support these kinship/grandfamilies. See how your agency’s program compares to your peers—or if you don’t have a program yet, get inspired by what others are doing!  
 
With the support of the Grandfamilies & Kinship Support Network: A National Technical Assistance Center, which is led by Generations United and funded through a cooperative agreement with ACL, USAging surveyed the nation’s AAAs and Title VI programs about their work with kinship families and grandfamilies. The new report and accompanying fact sheet describe their work, funding sources and budgets, and technical assistance needs.
