Section: May Associate Newsletter

For years, n4a's Annual Conference and Tradeshow has been the must-attend Conference for Area Agency on Aging leadership, payers, policymakers and others in the Aging Network. And this year we had hoped to bring an exciting slate of workshops and presentations to Conference attendees in Portland, OR. Then COVID-19 changed our plans. Due to statewide restrictions on large gatherings in Oregon, our in-person event cannot take place this July.
Rather than postpone or cancel entirely in 2020, n4a is pleased to announce that the 2020 Annual Conference and Tradeshow will be held virtually! Details, including the dates, will follow in the next few weeks.

In the meantime, see below for important details.

For those who made hotel reservations: If you haven't already, you will soon receive an email from one of the two Conference hotels (the Hyatt Regency Portland at the Oregon Convention Center and the Doubletree by Hilton Portland) cancelling your reservations. There is nothing additional that you will need to do. If you made reservations at other hotels, you will need to contact that hotel directly to cancel your reservation.

For Presenters: Because we can't hold as many workshops in a virtual Conference format as we could at an in-person conference, there will be changes. n4a will contact confirmed workshop presenters in the next month with information about the status of your workshop, and to ask whether you will would be willing to participate in our virtual Conference.

For Conference sponsors and exhibitors: n4a's virtual Conference and Tradeshow will provide new and unique opportunities, including a virtual Tradeshow. We will be in touch with details as we have them. If you were already registered to exhibit or sponsor the Conference, we will soon contact you about the details of our virtual conference—and your participation—as well as respond to any questions you may have about your registration.

Finally, thank you for your patience as we move toward a solution that protects the health and safety of Conference attendees while maintaining the incredible information sharing and peer learning experience that we all come to expect at the n4a Annual Conference and Tradeshow. We will be in touch with additional details as soon as they are available.
